Re: How was your day?
The last 2 days have been awful--family business of 5 generations is to close--but I'm slowly coming to terms with it. It hit me hard. I felt as if I'd just lost my Mum and Dad all over again.I felt bereaved.

Sorry you've been having such a hard time, Feather, it's always so difficult to bear when things we cherish seem to be slipping away from us.
But nobody can ever erase the memories, they remain like a book you can read again as often as you wish with all the pictures of happy times shared engraved forever in your mind.
I feel for you in your sadness and I understand. Take heart, dear Feather.

Feather on the move

Thinking of Feather and hoping she's feeling more cheerful.
May you have such beautiful days as we have here to enjoy your trip, Feather.

Re: How was your day?
I've just now seen your caring posts above, Kk and Stardust. I'm so thankful to have you as my friends.
I am much better now. None of the buildings themselves has("none" is a singular word = "not one"!!!!)That is for John's benefit.
Only the shop has been leased out. My nephew has other plans for the bakehouse but I don't as yet know what they are. He's obviously intending to set up a business of some kind there.
My trip to Aberdeen was good. It's always nice to catch up with Marion. We go way back to school days. She's like a sister to me. I bought 2 pairs of trousers, a few tops, a pair of shoes and toys for my wee Chica. :bounce:

Re: How was your day?
Had a good day. My pal, Jean, was here for lunch. The sun shone and we had a great chat. I had bought a bed for Chica on the internet but when it arrived it was too big for her. Jean bought it from me for her German Shepherd. He's a massive dog so you can imagine how my dog looked lying in the middle of it.I'll be careful to check sizes next time.

Re: How was your day?
A few days ago, whilst watching 'To Buy or Not To Buy', I was so inspired with the look of a property visited (particularly the window seats) that I dragged a couple of items out of my flat to make room and began phoning around for someone to collect. (I know... sad!
). It turned out that I'd held on to them for so long that they're now considered 'Retro'
. However, most companies couldn't help as the items were electrical, but The Heart Foundation will collect and are free too.
Brill!
