A worried member of the public made an emergency call at around midnight last night telling officers there was an unknown item on fire in the middle of the road. The London Fire Brigade attended the incident along with police. A statement on the Kingston police Facebook page reads: “When the arrived on scene they couldn’t believe their eyes! The officers that arrived on scene described the item as looking like a crash landed UFO!” The force is now asking for help from members of the public to guess what the item is.

Yes it definitely looks like a pizza oven and someone suggested it fell off a lorry. It could also have been in a nearby garden and somehow overheated and exploded (explaining the fire) and got projected into the road, if that's possible. Good job it didn't fall on top of an innocent pedestrian.
