    Well done, bimbow.  toast    You've done well to change from the FFs hosting ... not an easy task, as you say - involving a lot of hard work transferring everything over by hand to a much more reliable hosting service.
    (FFs certainly don't make it easy for people wishing to leave, so most people have no choice but to put up with all the [frequent - especially of late!] disruptions and frustrations involved with downtime throughout the boards there.

    Skeps taking an absolute age to load today, bimbow.  timeglass   Every page seems to be acting in the same way.
    I tried loggin in - must be a good 20 minutes ago (!)  but just got that little blue circle going round and round, same as when trying to get the Index page up to start with.  
    Refreshed my browser and it seemed to get me in - but to a skeleton page with just a few bits of text.  One of those bits said Ketchup: log out .....  so I clicked on that. rock   The blue circle is still going round .................

    Incidentally, I tried to go over to the Support Forum to see if it was a universal problem - and the exact same thing is happening over there.  Looks as though it's a universal ProphpBB thing.  Perhaps a scheduled maintenance?


    Blue circle still going round for both of them right now.  toetap   Think I'm gonna hafta give up trying for now.

    (Support forum has just come up now with the message 'Problem loading page'
    (but Skeps still circling ...  What a Face )

    Members of the Skeps Forum are having a little informal get-together meet-up to celebrate the 5th anniversary since the birth of Skeps forum.
    The meet-up is set for 1st October 2016, at a venue in London. 
    I will be going ('Ketchup').  Really looking forward to it.  I already know our bimbow of course, (who is Bindeweede, the admin on Skeps), and am looking forward to meeting other members at the BGT (Birthday Get-Together).  :thumb:

    Slight change to the link for the Skeps forum:

    As from today, the link to the site has now been changed to https://skepticsforum.uk/

    If you already have the link in your Favourites it will still redirect you to the new site link if you click on the old one -
    but just to assure anyone in case they get a message saying something about 'link redirecting'.

    It's perfectly safe and secure as always, in fact this tweak has served to strengthen the safety and security of the site.


    So now if you search Skeps forum and you come to a link which says Skeptics Forum - it is one and the same:
