What an adventure and how marvellous to be able to watch live the main points of the return mission throughout today, as well as keeping up with the ISS still in orbit around the planet.

Oleg and Thomas are safely back on Earth. happyheart

I missed the live showing, having only just read about it here and now.  However, it's nice to have those links to go back to, where you can still watch the 'live' recording, albeit after the event.
Thanks for those links, Stardust.  :thanks:

Fabulous photo here of the team, totally synchronized and harmoniously floating in space:

Aches and pains all over with the return of gravity.

I like this poetic and philosophical little video:

Peggy was supposed to come back to Earth with Oleg and Thomas but they needed her to stay up there because there are only three left on the space station till the next team arrive in July to make up the six.

Good old Peggy, still up there on the ISS circling our beautiful planet.

Hubble solves cosmic "whodunit"

Post by Stardust on 23rd March 2018, 11:26

Great reading from NASA.

Dwarf galaxies (Large and Small Magellanic clouds) tug-of-war releases gas into the Milky Way and Hubble shows it's the Large pulling a huge amount of gas from the Small.

Sometime in the future, planets and solar systems in our galaxy may be born out of material that used to be part of the Small Magellanic Cloud.
