Unfortunately, the video that you posted with this doesn't work, bimbow.  Says 'blocked in your country for copyright reasons'.

(That's a new one on me; until now, I had never heard of either the tune or Percy Faith.)

ETA: Oh! ... Actually, yes - I've heard the air before (love it!) - but had no clue as to what it was.

Am I becoming a bore??  Today's tune - Moon River - Henry Mancini.  Lots of versions on Youtube, but this one is in the right key.

It was the theme tune from the film 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'.  Here it is with Andy Williams singing the words:

Today's tune - Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen 1961 "Midnight In Moscow".

(Not sure what it has to so with Keaton and Arbuckle.)

The tune appeared in the background of a few silent films ... maybe some films that they were in?

My first thought when I heard it was Acker Bilk, but of course you are right, bimbow - it was Kenny Ball.
Kindred souls the pair of them.  (I much preferred Acker Bilk's sound though).

'Midnight in Moscow' was played at Kenny Ball's funeral .........

Took a few minutes before it hit home.  cyclops   The song spells it out.  cleverclogs   The Mystery Tune compilers are on vacation.  geek

Oh yes, so they are.  A nice long one too ... 5 whole weeks!  Lucky them.
Everybody needs a holiday once in a while.  It's been so long since I last had a holiday, I've lost count of how long ago it was. Crying or Very sad   Even if I find a place that's mobility accessible, I have to think about the getting there and back.  Public transport of any kind is a risky and actually rather terrifying prospect pale  with all sorts of obstacles involved - things that a few years ago I would've just taken for granted.  It would need to be somewhere where I can take Missy along with me (my car - my security) with all my various gadgets to hand. pirat

Oh, I used to love that programme - but not with Lionel Blair though!  Doesn't that all look so 'showbizzy' there. hairpull

I remember 'Name That Tune' programme with this guy  (can't remember his name, but definitely more tolerable and natural and watchable than that other one!)
