I hope everyone is safe from the rages of Ophelia. Not forgetting the poor frightened animals too. xx
Hearing all the stories here. 3 people have died so far in Ireland with trees hitting cars. Can't for the life of me understand why anyone would venture out in a car in a hurricane!!!
A really strange golden hue in the atmosphere here in London. And a weird but slightly familiar smell in the air - reminds me of just before a sandstorm in Libya.

Secrets of the Universe: Great Scientists in Their Own Words

Post by Kitkat on Wed 05 Nov 2014, 20:07

This looks interesting.  Showing on BBC Four tonight at 9:00pm.  Duration 1 hour.

Secrets of the Universe: Great Scientists in Their Own Words

Documentary following the stories of renowned physicists of the 20th century, and the discoveries they made, told in their own words. Archive material provides an insight into the lives and personalities of the men and women who transformed people's understanding of the universe, from unlocking the secrets of the atom to solving the mysteries of the cosmos. The human side of scientific endeavour is revealed, showing how the advances made depended greatly on the character and personality of the scientists involved.

Hopefully, will be available to view on BBC iPlayer for a time afterwards.
