How many more 'Sirs' (knights of the realm) will we hear about, with investigations being carried out surrounding seedy allegations from years gone by?   Hmm  Seems as though nearly all those recently involved in revelations/allegations/convictions of incidents with sexual conotones, have been hit on the shoulder at some stage by a sharp shiny sword wielded by the Queen.
Seems to me the shoulder is not the right place to be aiming for.  Aim a bit lower, HRH, and give it a good stab between the legs.

Well, I find the whole honours system to be rather stupid. I mean, Dame Barbara Windsor! Rolling Eyes

What next, Sir Wayne Rooney? How long before there's a Sir Jayden so and so?

I must admit, I'd love the allegations against Sir Cliff to be true as he's a typical sanctimonious Christian*, but I still don't think "allegations" should be made public like this. He might well be innocent.

And using terms such as "sexual abuse" could mean anything from inappropriate touching to rape. Again, I think it's wrong to use such vague terms. If an allegation has been made and reported, they should be more precise about what it is. I get the impression that stories like this are treated as a form of entertainment: news as "infotainment".

    * which inevitably means they're hypocrites too. A multi-millionaire, gay man - what would Jesus have thought? giggle

    Me too.

Yes, this whole thing reeks of exaggerated publicity and journalistic agenda.

Police claim Cliff Richard search unearthed horrific ‘new material’

A police search of Cliff Richard’s home has unearthed a host of horrific new album tracks, according to sources close to the case.   scared

An officer on the case told our source, “It would absolutely turn your stomach, the stuff we saw and heard.”

“Working on Operation Yewtree we’ve been exposed to some pretty disturbing things, but this was on a different level.”

“He’s got at least three Christmas albums worth in there. I haven’t slept since I heard the first of them. This job has got PTSD written all over it.”
