    Many people believe that their dogs can understand language. Others, however, whilst acknowledging that dogs can respond to verbal cues, say that dogs don't understand the language - it's just associative learning.

    A new study has come to light which challenges this sceptical view where a dog not only appears to understand language, but can respond to it too.
