Heavy handed cooking tips

Post by Stardust on 12th April 2011, 10:56

Had a heavy hand and sprinkled to much in the dish?
Don't despair, there are often ways to save your cooking.

Added too much:

Salt: add a peeled potato and leave for about 20 minutes, it will absort the salt so you can chuck it out and reheat the dish before serving.

Garlic: instead of a potato add a bunch of parsley sprigs for 20-30 mins, throw out and reheat dish.

Hot spices: add a liberal amount of coconut milk to the dish - it will counteract the effect.

Be grateful for even the smallest thing, blessings come in many disguises.
