What a beautiful way to end the day
Londoner's were treated to a sunset to remember this evening after the sky above the capital turned a beautiful shade of pink and red in the dusk.
All over the city, people ran to their windows to catch sight of the unusual phenomena which also left yellow streaks across the sky.
The beautiful sight came after a pleasant winter's day in London, a far cry from the snowy conditions that have enveloped norther parts of the country.
Many people took to social media to share their beautiful pictures of the skyline.
This was the scene in West London as the sun crept over Fullham's Craven Cottage.
Meanwhile in the centre of the city, a Twitter user named Ziad Ramley posted this amazing video.
It shows the sun setting behind the Shard casting the building in a beautiful glow.

Meanwhile in Lambeth, photographer David McAlister took this stunning shot of the sunset.
The photo beautifully captures the sunlight shimmering off the freezing waters of the Thames.
The sunset was so beautiful, it made many people forget about the tedium of lockdown for a couple of minutes.
One Twitter user joked about the fact while sharing a stunning picture of Canary Wharf, writing: "Bozza on the telly or take pictures of sunset. Toughie..."
And according to the Met Office, a red sky at night is a sign of good weather to come.

It reads: "A red sky appears when dust and small particles are trapped in the atmosphere by high pressure. This scatters blue light leaving only red light to give the sky its notable appearance.
"A red sky at sunset means high pressure is moving in from the west, so therefore the next day will usually be dry and pleasant."
