    I like this one from the Free Encyclopedia today ...

    Coin Flipping

    Coin flipping is the practice of throwing a coin in the air to choose between two alternatives, sometimes to resolve a dispute between two parties.  It is a form of sortition that inherently has only two possible and equally likely outcomes.  Coin tosses are often used in sporting events to determine certain factors, such as which team will receive the ball first in American football.  How did Sigmund Freud say a coin toss could help to clarify one's feelings about a particular decision?  More...

    and I quite like this positive little ditty, taken from that link:

        A Psychological Tip

        Whenever you're called on to make up your mind,
        And you're hampered by not having any,
        The best way to solve the dilemma, you'll find,
        Is simply by spinning a penny.
        No—not so that chance shall decide the affair
        While you're passively standing there moping;
        But the moment the penny is up in the air,
        You suddenly know what you're hoping.
