Re: Adorable Cats.
Great photos, Feather.
This one isn't a photograph but it's a nice picture so I hope you like it too.

I can see cats there. That's all it takes to have me hooked, Stardust. I'm still sad that I don't have one any more but it wouldn't be fair to start again at my age. They can live for such a long time.

Re: Adorable Cats.
Lots of people use that argument, Feather, as a reason for not adopting a cat or dog. It's so sad. But in a refuge you can find them at all ages, you don't have to adopt a kitten. You would provide a happy home and lots of love so, as long as a cat would be ok with Chica, I'd say go for it. Is there a refuge near you?

Re: Adorable Cats.
Yes there's a refuge centre for cats here. "Cats' Protection League". The thing is I don't think I'm really able to take on more responsibilities and there's the grief when they pass. It weighs heavily on me still. I don't think I want to go through that again. I know I may have to with Chica but that may never happen as it's more likely that I will go before her. Her breed can live for 14--16 years and she's only 2 now. I'm 71. Do the Maths, Stardust. It wouldn't be fair to Chica anyway. It's an unknown which I can't face.

Yes, I see, especially the grief, it gets harder each time. Chica must be good company though.

Chica is absolutely adorable and I love her like a child. She will do me from now on. She is such a precious and cuddly creature- and clever too. Thanks for the chat, Stardust. I wish I could meet you or at least be able to picture you.

Re: Adorable Cats.
Feather, through your posts I have a much clearer vision of you than any photo could provide, and I expect this is true regarding everyone.
There's the advantage in having a dog that you can take Chica for walks with you.

Great photos! Love the one sitting up at the table waiting for his tea.
I do hope this one hasn't used up all its 9 lives

A guilty look if ever I saw one. Wonder what this little minx has been up to --
EDIT: Oh No! This isn't the one I meant to post ... I've lost it now.

A friend for life ...

Re: Adorable Cats.
That last one that I posted shows 2 cats which are the spitting image of my Freckles and Truffles. When I look at them, I yearn for my lovely girls.
